In line with the social responsibility purpose of our Positive Impact brand, we gathered the all team in another action that promotes ecological awareness and thereby creates more value for the Community (People).

We were in Costa da Caparica collaborating on the Programa Bandeira Azul – educational initiative for sustainable development, promoted in Portugal by the Associação Bandeira Azul da Europa, as the Portuguese branch of the Foundation for Environmental Education.

2022 marks the 35th anniversary of the "Bandeira Azul" program, with the slogan “Help the Sea to Tell Another Story”.

It is precisely this help that we also want to give to the sea so that it can always have inspiring stories to tell all those who want to contribute with their cause for the sustainability of the sea, in particular, and the planet as a whole.

"Marine litter, present in all the world's seas and coastal zones, poses a threat to human health, wildlife and ecosystems."

This waste can vary in size and takes hundreds of years to degrade. Land activities currently represent 80% of the sources of this marine litter, with fishing, shipping, tourism and sanitation being the main contributors to this threat.

We all contribute to this disaster, but we can all help to stop it by changing our behavior and opting for responsible and sustainable solutions." (in the "Cleaner beach with..." project, Blue Flag Program).

Over these 35 years, the “Bandeira Azul” has contributed to educate for sustainable development on coastal, river and lake beaches, marinas and recreational and ecotourism boats through a set of criteria related to:

• Environmental Information and Education

• Beach Water Quality

• Environmental Management, Safety and Services

• Social Responsibility

• Community Involvement

• Ecosystem Protection

On this anniversary of the “Bandeira Azul”, we also want to help spread the word about this association important mission of ensuring the sustainability of our sea as much as possible.

We know that our initiative is a small if we consider how much there is to be done, especially in terms of changing society's awareness and behavior in relation to the production of marine waste on the beaches of our coast, but we are convinced that indeed we are contributing to this change.

Don't drop litter on the beach. The planet thanks you!
