With more than 900 brands represented among 160,000 vehicle types, the TecDoc catalog is increasingly becoming the leading search engine in the automotive aftermarket, providing around 9 million data organized into 134 product groups.
The catalogue has been a globally recognized information standard for over 25 years and serves a very specific purpose: to identify car parts with the utmost confidence, accuracy and speed in a market where these criteria are increasingly strategic in driving the future of the business.
From 2021, a new set of rules has been introduced for parts manufacturers (data providers) that includes additional key performance indicators (KPIs) and new validations that enable the level of quality of the information searched to be systematically increased.

It was in this context that the Premier Data Supplier (PDS) label was introduced, awarded to data suppliers who comply with at least 99% of the new requirements.
This premium status saw an increase of 52 brands compared to the last review in March.
It should be noted that 538 other brands have met the requirements for the standard certification - Certified Data Supplier - which requires validation of the data provided in accordance with the TecDoc standard. Overall, around 80% of data suppliers currently provide product information that is considered good or excellent.
These two certifications differ in the level of compliance with the corresponding KPIs, as they are aimed precisely at different levels.
The KPIs that must be met in order to achieve the PDS include, among others, the evaluation of data content, such as free text and attribute values (e.g. chassis numbers, equipment variants, etc.).
The certification requirements will continue to be adapted to the market's demands, as data suppliers receive monthly detailed reports on quality evaluation for all their product brands, and new KPIs are expected to be introduced in 2022 and 2023.
