  • Tips4y celebrates this February 2022 its first decade of activity and there are many stories based on experience, growth and success to share with the market and its stakeholders.

    The company was founded in 2012 through a project created by Pedro Barros and Susana Barros.

    Their vision and experience in the automotive aftermarket are at the basis of Tips4y, a technology company dedicated to creating innovation with digital data-driven solutions for the automotive market.


    “Tips for you” brand was conceived precisely to bring new ideas to the business, stimulating a wish for challenge and entrepreneurship in its positioning.

    Over these 10 years, many achievements have been reached in all areas of the company's life, but people above all - including employees, partners and suppliers - have been the key drivers of Tips4y's history, and today they represent the most valuable asset in celebrating this first decade of activity.

    To mark this very special moment, 10 milestones (among many others) have been chosen as a tribute to this journey:

    Tips4y is founded. At the beginning of its activity, a strategic partnership was made with TecAlliance, ensuring its representation in Portugal.

    Launch of the Plate Number Search service, which has become one of the most popular and recognised services in the aftermarket.

    New corporate image. The logo communicates a modern and dynamic image. The blue color conveys trust, stability, confidence, ambition and loyalty, revealing the values of the company and the way it wants to be recognized.

    Move to new facilities due to the increase of the team and the need to cultivate from the very start an environment that promotes the best in each employee.

    Tips4y reaches €1 million in turnover and opens its capital shares to employees and external strategic partners.

    Tips4y has been honored with the “PME Líder” and “PME Excelência” awards, both given by IAPMEI and which recognize companies with high performance.

    Tips4y and NOVA SBE have developed a partnership to create knowledge based on data about the future of automobile mobility, which marks the company's collaboration with universities, reinforced in 2020 (ESTS) and 2022 (ISCTE).

    Tips4y introduces to the market a new value proposition for its suite of solutions and a new institutional signature: “Automotive Intelligence” with the market's future challenges in mind.
