The future of Technical Information
The event was led by Christian Bergmann, Vice President Data Manager RMI, and Leon Dols, Product Owner TecRMI, who selected Portugal after a first round with the TecRMI user groups in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
It was a very practical session among all participants, where the real needs of independent workshops were identified in terms of technical information, based on their daily operations and future needs.
The new platform – TecRMI Service Book – was also introduced, a tool that allows workshops to digitally document maintenance operations quickly and efficiently.
The TecRMI Portal provides standardised access to around 4 million diagnostic, repair and maintenance instructions and approximately 8 million manufacturers' technical data (OE specifications) in a single location, covering practically the entire vehicle car parc.
This portal was developed to increase the quality of workshop services, presenting itself to the market with very differentiating factors that position it as an online reference tool in this area.
Considering that the technical complexity of vehicles has increased exponentially in recent years, especially in hybrid and electrified vehicles (a trend that will accentuate), it becomes critical to increase the efficiency of Workshops and Networks, and identify the right repair procedure at first, since the most frequent complaints in Portugal about Workshops and Networks are precisely about repair or maintenance services:
